This short three-night tour is designed to lift your spirits, as autumn turns to winter, and give you an opportunity to taste great Champagne which you might like to buy in small quantities before the festive season.
And if you ever wanted to discover the secret of the bubbles and find out what makes Champagne the celebratory drink par excellence, this is most definitely the trip for you. You will learn how Champagne is made, visit ancient cellars, dug out of chalk, where millions of bottles age gracefully and enjoy tasting the variety of styles produced.
To avoid difficulties experienced these days with channel crossings we have re-designed our Champagne tours to start in the Champagne capital, Reims, itself. Reims is easily reached by the excellent French Railways TGV network from Paris and makes this tour much more accessible to clients both outside London and outside the UK.
We stay in an excellent four star hotel in the centre of town and will be visiting both big name producers for cellar visits and tastings as well as small family producers in various regions of Champagne.
Dinner will be included on the first night, the remaining two evenings will be free and there are plenty of choices of restaurants at all levels. Lunch will be provided on one of the other days.
Full details of the tour will be available shortly.
